Bathroom accessories add the finishing touch
Once you have decided on the main components of your bathroom, you will want to add some bathroom accessories to it to give it that individual look.
Soap dissolving on the side of the bath or washbasin is unsightly and unhygienic. A soap dish can elegantly and functionally improve the look of your bathroom. For a contemporary feel, why not choose a chrome and frosted glass dish? Or a ceramic design for a more rustic appearance?
Similarly, a lavatory roll holder is a must. A simple ring or bar design will ensure a neat décor, or perhaps a bone china or brass style.
It is in the smaller details that the bathroom becomes a place of ease and comfort.
Would a magnified mirror be useful when applying makeup? Any reflective surface will help to add more light and increase the impression of space. Choose a mirror to enhance the style of your bathroom. And be careful to make sure you choose one to fit the dimensions properly. An arched, gilt-framed mirror would make anything but a large bathroom look cramped. Conversely, a small, square mirror would be impracticable in a large space – particularly if designed with a mass of period detail.
And think where your bathrobe is hung while you are taking a shower. Do you really want to balance your toothbrushes on the edge of your bathroom sink? A shelf placed underneath the mirror is a convenient way to store everyday items.
It is these finishing touches which harmonise your bathroom and ensure a practical, as well as comfortable, environment for you to enjoy.
