Blind Makers Offer a Personal Service

A quick Internet search will pull up dozens of different companies offering blind-making services, from large companies who sell ready-made blinds for standard size windows to smaller companies who provide a more personal service and will make made-to-measure blinds.

Often houses or conservatories have unusual sized or placed windows that require covering, either for reasons of privacy or to keep the light out. In some instances, due to the location of the window, or simply the owner’s tastes, a blind may be a more suitable or attractive option than a curtain. This is especially true for windows that are not perpendicular to the ground. With attic conversions becoming increasingly popular, blinds are often used to cover windows that are set into a sloping roof and where it would be impossible to hang a curtain.

Having bespoke roller blinds made is an appealing option for many people as it affords them the choice of the material from which the blind is made and the style that is matched to their furnishings and colour scheme. However, blinds have become so popular that there are literally hundreds of different ready-made styles and colours to choose from, making buying ready-fabricated blinds a very satisfactory option too.

Some blind makers will come to the house, measure the windows to be covered and then return to fit the blinds themselves after they have been crafted. A cheaper option is to buy the correct size blind in the shop and fit it oneself. This is a simply DIY task and can be done with ease by following the instructions supplied by the shop.
