Installing inscreed cable for you underfloor heating system

Inscreed cable can be installed under your floor to provide heat.  It is very durable and capable of producing a high amount of heat.  There are many different sizes available to accommodate the different room sizes and heat requirements that you may require as well.

Because inscreed cable kits must be set into a screeded floor, this type of underfloor heating system is best suited for new construction.  Each type of inscreed cable will also have different requirements about the depth of screed that is required.  In most cases, you can expect that your screed will need to be at least 50mm deep.

The actual process of installing inscreed cable is relatively easy.  Only one end of the cable is attached to your electrical supply which is also quite convenient.  As this type of underfloor heating is typically sold as part of a kit, you will have all of the essential elements to get started.  This can include everything from the heating cable to a floor sensor probe and thermostat.

Inscreed cable kits also provide a great deal of flexibility.  They can be installed in several different rooms including bathrooms, living rooms, and even in a conservatory.  It is important to consider the size of the room when selecting your inscreed cable kit as thicker heating cable will be necessary in large rooms or those that have greater exposure to cold air.  In some cases, thinner heating cable can be used when the underfloor heating system is a secondary heat source in the room.
