The utilisation of robots and automatic machines around one’s home to mow the lawns, manage chores and vacuum floors has actually risen in recent years. A number of people prefer to use small machines for handling their daily activities and automation means they do not actually need to attend the machines.

Fully automatic or robotic lawn mowers are specially created to mow the garden area without the need of a user. Auto lawn mowers can be used to cut the grass as large as one third of the acre land and return back home to get recharged at the base station, this is all possible without any human intervention.

On the other hand, the latest auto lawn mowers can easily handle more than an acre of land without needing to recharge. Effective, fully automatic and clean, the users can sit back while the robot performs all the work.

Robot garden mowers are designed to cope well with both rainy and bad weather. The rain sensors attached in such mowers alert its robot to come back to the docking station and stay in the docking station during the rain.

A simple electrical mower without this rain sensor facility means that one will have to run into rain to move the mower into shelter.

Robotic mowers are environment and user friendly. With the problem of global warming being a main issue, one can have peace of mind using such mowers. The auto lawn mowers run with the help of rechargeable batteries and without any requirement of petrol or oil, as opposed to the case of conventional mowers.

The bump sensors in robotic mowers protect the garden mower from running over the items that might be lying on the lawn, thereby increasing its overall efficiency and life. The automatic garden mowers save large amounts of effort and time of the user.

Lawn movers are machines used to cut the grass in lawn and garden areas. Even if it seems to be a simple task, buying a mower actually requires bit knowledge and careful points to be remembered.

The very first thing is the size of the lawn mower. Lawn mowers are usually sized as per the width of lawn grass that needs to be cut. While some mowers can cut approximately 41 centimeters grass, some can cut to as little as 28 centimeters. Generally the rule of the thumb is that the larger the garden, the bigger the mower. In case the lawn area is big, a rider mower can prove to be the perfect option.

Another thing to consider is the working of the mower. The mowers move with the help of wheels, rollers or hover. Hovers are good for small lawns and are quite inexpensive. Since these do not have any wheels, they need to be carried around. Hover mowers give a neat and good finish to any lawn. Hovers can be utilised on slopes or banks.

Another type of mower is the roller mower. They help in leveling the surface aside from cutting grass. Since the rollers are duly attached, they keep steady level of machines and perform better by leveling the land as well as the grass. Wheel mowers are the last kind of mower and provide great maneuverability and mobility when cutting the grass.

It is also important to give due consideration to the power on which the mower operates. Electricity, power and rechargeable battery run mowers are the three types of mowers available in the market today. It is also good to consider purchasing a mower with collection box so that all the grass can be collected while the mower is doing its job. This helps to keep the lawn clean and neat.

A garden mower serves to be a great appliance used in gardens for mowing the grass on the lawn area. There are different kinds of mowers available on the market that can be bought to suit the needs and requirements of the customer and their garden. There are generally two major types of garden mowers, rotary and cylinder mowers. The rotary mower is suitable for places in which the grass has been neglected for some time.

On the other hand, the cylinder mower is specially designed for its efficient cleaning properties and producing a neat lawn. These mowers are usually used in tennis courts and places in which the lawn needs to be neat and professional looking.

It is important to consider the power which operates the garden mower before making a purchase. There are petrol and electricity run mowers. Electrical mowers are a bit lighter in weight, easy to use and inexpensive. But, if used in dense lawn area, it can actually get tangled between the grasses. These mowers are perfect for use in bigger areas.

Petrol mowers are, on other hand, ideal for use in larger stretches of lawn as they do not require any electrical connection. These mowers require more maintenance and are more expensive than electric mowers. There are some lawn mowers which are powered specially by rechargeable batteries. These mowers are quite useful although they are not as efficient as other mower models. It is important that the mower should be chosen diligently and safely. The right kind of lawn mower should be chosen by the individual who will use it.

Petrol powered lawn mowers are great if you have a large garden and you can’t get a long enough electrical lead or you just want a bit more power over your standard electrical hover mower or rotary mower.

If your lawn is larger than 100 SQM, then a petrol lawn mower will definitely make the job quicker and easier. Cutting an over grown garden is made easier with a petrol mower to, as their often a lot more powerful than there electric counterpart, although it might be advisable to use a petrol strimmer to take some of the length away if it the grass is over 7” in height. Instead of going for a low cut straight away you should cut it slightly higher and then go for a lower cut as it will make your job easier again for you.

Petrol mowers will be more expensive than electrical base mowers and will require slightly more upkeep and of course you’ll need to keep some petrol in your shed, but there’s no risk of electrocution. The cheapest price that you can get a petrol mower is around £130 which usually feature a 123cc engine which is around 2/3 BHP, 50 litre grass box is also common and different high settings for crass cutting.

Petrol mowers have 2 options for starting them either a electrical start, which you will pay a premium for these are by far the easiest option. And the most common start is the pull start or recoil starter. All you need to do is prime the engine with fuel which is commonly done by pushing a button which pushes some fuel into the engine and then usually on the first pull it will cough and splutter into life.
