Looking after your Quartz Worktop

Quartz worktops offer a less expensive alternative to traditional granite. Natural quartz surfaces deliver exceptional depth and clarity as well as the cool, solid feel which is normally associated with, and unique to natural stone. Whereas Granite is a 100% natural product, Quartz worktops are man-made and can be made into a wider variety of colours.

There are many benefits to having a quartz worktop in your kitchen including a high heat resistance, scratch resistance, stain resistant, and resistant to acid and chemicals amongst many.  All quartz worktops are manufactured using natural quartz with a bonding agent that produces a great working surface which is extremely attractive as well. Quartz is one of the finest minerals that are commonly found on the surface of earth and what makes it different from others is its hard constituency. Quartz worktops come in many different beautiful designs and colours and for many it makes it a better option than granite. The worktops made up of quartz are the ideal choice for kitchens since they provide low absorption level, good heat resistance, are easy to maintain and clean.

Looking after quartz worktops is not difficult and due to their exceptional physical and mechanical properties, the regular maintenance of Quartz worktops only requires cleaning with a product such as detergent which is pH neutral. All that is required to keep quartz worktops in pristine condition is to remove remains of waste used in food preparation or everyday staining by wiping the surface of the worktop with a cloth which is moistened with a pH neutral detergent, followed by rinsing with clean water and buffing with a dry cloth.
