Make the task of gardening more enjoyable

There is no doubt that people love to perform the task of gardening. However, one has to be organised in gardening to get the best out of it, which is not that easy. The first thing in being organised is to be a bit practical about your gardening tasks.

Do not ever try to prepare a bigger garden than your capabilities and time allow. This may have a negative impact as your gardening time can get wasted entirely due to the growth of weeds if you simply don’t have the time to perform weeding because the garden is so big.

You may not be able to remove such weeds without help. Your garden venture should be practical, small and something that you can take care of easily.

Plan your tasks of gardening by making a schedule of what is to be done on each day. It will also ensure that you can derive a huge amount of satisfaction from your gardening and your efforts.

Remember that you cannot do everything in your garden in a single day. Every year we perform a lot of tasks in our garden like landscaping, preparing the compost heaps and lawn mowing involving lots of efforts which make it absolutely necessary to follow some tips not to over-exert ourselves.

An important thing is to wear knee pads while working in the garden. They can be purchased for only a couple of pounds.

Another activity that should be avoided is to carrying heavy weights in the garden all by yourself. This is a highly impractical idea and instead you should try to make use of a garden trolley or a wheel barrow. Also, lifting through the knees can be helpful as it will not cause much pain in your back.  There would not be any need to bend to lift weighty items. It can also ensure that you do not suffer from the problem of a strained sciatic nerve.

i have a largish garden for a 2 bed house, and there’s loads of weeds in the grass, I so can’t be bothered to get them all out. So on Saturday I bought some weed and feed type stuff, they do seem to be curling up and dying but just very slowly.
