Perhaps the bathroom is going to be used by the whole family rather than just adults, therefore durability of fixtures and fittings should be taken into account. A sensible rule of thumb is to decide upon a budget and then see exactly what is affordable; cheap doesn’t necessarily entail a compromise on taste and design.
